The newly crowned European 3-cushion Champion will partner with the World’s leading billiard cloth and ball brands, opening a new chapter for this family dynasty that revolutionized the world of billiards.

There are very few players who have changed the face of their sports forever. In terms of legacy, none is greater than the Ceulemans family. This Belgian family has ruled carom billiards for decades and Peter is the symbol of its renaissance.

Peter Ceulemans is the grandson of the legendary Raymond Ceulemans, widely regarded as the greatest carom billiards player of all time. After claiming more than 100 international titles, he was awarded a knighthood by King Albert II of Belgium.

His father, Koen, and his uncle, Kurt, continued to honor his legacy by competing at the highest levels on both the national and international stages. Beyond being fiercely competitive and highly respected players, this second generation of Ceulemans inspired countless athletes and helped develop the sport by organizing major tournaments.

At 45 years old, Peter Ceulemans is now the figurehead of this family dynasty. He began playing carom billiards at the age of 5 and started competing at the age of 13. He remains today one of the very few top UMB athletes to compete professionally while maintaining a second career as a company executive in order to provide financial security for his wife and children.

Training regularly in his free time, Peter’s consistency helped him climb in 2024 to World No. 22 player, claiming a historic first individual Belgian National Title in Blankenberge, followed by a podium at the UMB World Cup in Veghel a few months later. Another podium at the 2025 UMB World Cup in Sharm El Sheikh confirmed he was taking his game to the next level among the world’s elite.

In March 2026, Peter won his first major international title in Antalya, completing a remarkable comeback victory against another Belgian carom legend, Eddy Merckx. Last month, he won the Belgian Cup vs. Roland Forthomme.

Currently ranked No. 1 in the Belgian events ranking, No. 2 in the CEB ranking and No. 10 in the UMB World player rankings, Peter doesn’t plan to stop there. We are proud at Simonis and Aramith to start this new partnership with this talented player who is highly respected by his peers and who inspires many players.

Peter Ceulemans: “It’s a big honor for me to collaborate with the world-renowned Belgian brands Simonis and Aramith. The strong reputation, innovative approach and international impact appeal to me greatly. I am very enthusiastic about making my contribution and achieving more successes together!”

Jérôme Poncelet (Iwan Simonis Group Sales Director): “This collaboration with Peter is very special to us. Few decades ago, we witnessed his grandfather accomplish what no one ever thought was possible. We couldn’t be prouder to see a Belgian player shape the future of his sport while competing on our Belgian-made Simonis cloth with our Belgian-made Aramith balls. At the Iwan Simonis Group, Heritage means a lot to us. Peter is now the third-ranked Belgian player on the UMB Tour, behind the legendary Frédéric Caudron and Eddy Merckx. He can now count on our support as he continues to pursue his passion and to add new titles to his family’s remarkable legacy.”
